Hi, Mama and Papa aka my only 2 paid subscribers as of now that will be able to read this in its entirety. Welcome to my newest creative project, which isn’t actually that new as it’s an idea I’ve been sitting on since Winter 2022. In an effort to finally produce pages of creative fiction, I’ll be publishing what I write for the general story of “Summer Camp.” I imagine this will (hopefully) keep me on track as I attempt to write a post each week that will be some part of this story.
Warning: unorganized thoughts ahead. This is NOT what I imagine as this story’s final form…it is just the beginning.
Malcolm Gladwell says to become a genius at something all one must do is log 10,000 hours. Here’s my first hour on this piece of aspiring genius. I’ll stop procrastinating on the actual story now and get into it.
Attending summer camp has marked two pivotal periods of time in my life: my middle school years when I began to realize constant my tears and internal worries were not “normal” (or at least not the normal expected by modern society) and the summer after I graduated college and the painful realities of adult life hit me like a semi-truck.
