My birthday is in less than a week and I’m entering my 25th year feeling a bit depleted. The past few weeks have been full in every sense of the word, but nonetheless draining. My workout routine and alone time sit on the back-burner.
As I’ve settled into adult life, I’ve noticed how important my alone time and space is for my well-being. I need time to not speak, watch my murder-mystery thrillers, paint, draw, write, and read. I’m missing my inner-world, which I’ve carefully curated over the past 2 years to comfort me and serve as a lifeboat when real life is overwhelming and sad.
